On Jan. 21, 2020, we invite everyone to join us for the fourth annual National Day of Racial Healing – rooted in experiences for truth telling and trust building that lead to racial healing for a more just and equitable future. Racial healing is not only important, it is essential. Because healing is at the heart of racial equity.
Racism affects all of us, regardless of our backgrounds or circumstances. We are all living in a world born from historic injustices that have led to broken systems and division, where we don’t know one another and our shared history. The significant challenges will not be solved by any one individual or group.
To realize a society free of systemic injustice, we must come together to heal, exploring and unraveling the deeply held racial biases of the past – the biases that hold us back from unleashing our collective energy and potential.
Through racial healing, we recognize our community, humanity, acknowledge our truths from our shared history, and recognize our collective potential and shared values. Together we can bridge the divides to transform communities for our children and future generations.
Together we heal.

It is not the responsibility of one person, one group, or even one organization to drive this work. The responsibility belongs to all of us to participate in these honest, powerful and moving experiences and, pursue this journey together. Through racial healing, we can all forge deep, meaningful relationships, lay the groundwork to transform broken systems, and create a world in which, together, we are a new force for positive change.
